Abstract

The study is an assessment of the Nuclear Medicine Technology Clinical Education Training Program (NMTCETP) by the graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Medicine Technology (BS NMT) from the A.Y. 2022-2023. A descriptive quantitative research design was employed in this study. The data was gathered through a self-made questionnaire grounded by the NMTCETP learning objectives and the required competencies, with questions categorized using the four levels of the Kirkpatrick Evaluation Model: Reaction, learning, behavior, and results. The collected data was analyzed statistically using mean, standard deviation, frequency, percentage distribution, Mann-Whitney U test, and Kruskal-Wallis H test. The findings of the study showed that the majority of the respondents were male, accounting for 12 (57.1%) out of 21 total respondents, while nine (42.95) were female. The respondents found the NMTCETP to be engaging, satisfying, and relevant to their role. Most of the respondents acquired a level of competence that required little supervision on the required competencies stipulated in the NMTCETP. Moreover, the respondents indicated positive behavioral changes as they applied their new skills and knowledge during their internship. The majority of the respondents concurred that the NMTCETP achieved its targeted outcomes. There was no significant difference in their assessment of the NMTCETP when grouped according to sex and the number of nuclear medicine modalities they were assigned to. Based on the four levels of the Kirkpatrick Evaluation Model, the NMTCETP is regarded as a good clinical education training program.
