Ethical Guidelines

Lasallian Journal of Health is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethics and integrity in all aspects of the publication process. The journal follows the principles set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects all authors, reviewers, and editorial board members to adhere to these guidelines.

1. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must ensure that their work is original, free from plagiarism, and not under consideration or previously published elsewhere.

All authors listed must have made a significant contribution to the research and approve the final version of the manuscript.

Proper acknowledgment of funding sources, institutional affiliations, and contributions from others must be included.

All research involving human participants or animals must include appropriate ethical clearance and informed consent, as applicable.

Any conflict of interest must be disclosed at the time of submission.

2. Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers must conduct evaluations objectively and confidentially, free from personal bias or conflict of interest.

They must provide constructive, evidence-based feedback and maintain confidentiality throughout and after the review process.

Any suspicion of misconduct, such as plagiarism or data fabrication, must be reported to the Editor-in-Chief.

3. Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for making fair and unbiased decisions on manuscript acceptance based solely on scholarly merit and relevance.

Editors will not disclose information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than those directly involved in the editorial process.

The Editorial Board is committed to handling ethical concerns or allegations of misconduct with transparency and in accordance with COPE procedures, including corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern when necessary.

4. Publication Integrity

The journal operates under a double-blind peer review system to promote impartial evaluation.

Any detected cases of plagiarism, duplicate submission, image manipulation, or data falsification will result in immediate action, which may include rejection, retraction, and notification to the author’s institution.

Ethical breaches are taken seriously and addressed in a timely and thorough manner.

Lasallian Journal of Health is rooted in the Lasallian values of honesty, service, and academic excellence. As such, it strives to maintain the trust of its readers, authors, and the broader scientific community by promoting ethical conduct and fostering a culture of responsible research and publication.
