Aims & Scope

The Aim of the Journal

Lasallian Journal of Health (LJH) is a peer-reviewed, collegiate, open-access journal dedicated to advancing knowledge in the fields of medicine, health sciences, and public health. Rooted in the Lasallian tradition of excellence and service, the journal aims to promote scholarly research, innovative medical practices, and interdisciplinary collaboration to address local and global health challenges. The journal is published bi-annually and sent members of the De La Salle Health and Medical Sciences Community

The Scope of the Journal

LJH welcomes original research, review articles, case reports, clinical studies, and policy discussions across a broad spectrum of medical and health sciences disciplines. The journal encourages submissions from the various colleges of De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute (DLSMHSI), including:

College of Medicine – Clinical medicine, medical education, biomedical research, translational medicine, and innovations in healthcare.

College of Allied Sciences – Biochemical research, molecular biology, pharmacokinetics, and biomedical applications in medicine and health.

College of Medical Imaging and Therapy – Advances in radiologic technology, nuclear medicine, medical imaging innovations, and radiation safety.

College of Medical Laboratory Science – Clinical diagnostics, microbiology, hematology, pathology, and laboratory medicine.

College of Nursing – Patient care, nursing education, community health nursing, and evidence-based nursing practice.

Dr. Mariano Que College of Pharmacy – Pharmaceutical sciences, drug development, pharmacology, clinical pharmacy, and medication safety.

College of Rehabilitation Sciences – Research in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology for rehabilitation and patient recovery.

College of Dentistry – Oral health research, dental innovations, orthodontics, periodontics, and prosthodontics.

School of Advanced Studies – Advanced research in nursing, public health, and health sciences, including Ph.D. studies focused on healthcare policy, epidemiology, and health systems research.

Special Health Sciences Senior High School – STEM-related research in health sciences, early exposure to medical and health-related studies, and interdisciplinary health education.

By welcoming contributions from these diverse colleges, LJH aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and showcase a wide array of research and advancements in the medical and health sciences fields. LJH upholds rigorous ethical standards and values research integrity, scientific merit, and relevance to the broader medical and health sciences community.
