Abstract
This study is to determine the clinical profile and outcome of newborns with congenital diaphragmatic hernia. All newborns diagnosed with congenital diaphragmatic hernia admitted in DLSUMC from January 1, 2003 to December 31, 2013. A chart review of pediatrics patient admitted for congenital diaphragmatic hernia in our institution was done. Most newborn with CDH were born term with a good APGAR and adequate birth weight. Chest x-ray should be done in newborn presenting with tachypnea, subcostal retractions and absence of breath sound. Surgical management is still the best option for correcting that defect as all those who underwent surgery had a good outcome.
