Abstract
The purpose of this study is to know the relationship between shape and morphometric measurements of the internal auditory canal by gender and laterality. High resolution the temporal and mastoid bones CT images of 121 patients ages 14 to 90 were seen and reviewed. The shape, opening width, longitudinal length, AP diameter and distance from vestibular aqueduct of the internal auditory canal were noted. There is a significant difference between left and right internal auditory canal morphometric measurements of opening width, longitudinal length and AP diameter. However, no significant difference was noted in the morphometric measurement between male to female and in the shapes between left to right and male to female.
