Clinical profile of acute glomerulonephritis (AGN) among pediatric patients manifesting as encephalopathy in a tertiary hospital in Dasmarinas Cavite

Abstract
Descriptive case series retrospective study design was used. Review of medical records of patients with AGN admitted at DLSUMC who developed encephalopathy from January 2015 to December 2019 was used for data gathering. Prevalence of hypertensive encephalopathy was computed. Frequencies and percentages of demographic characteristics and clinical profile of patients were tabulated and compare. Prevalence of hypertensive encephalopathy was 14.1% from the total AGN cases with a male to female ratio of 1.7:1, seizure was the most common chief complaint, therapy is supportive and in combination, by the most important concern was the control of hypertension. There were no mortality on the years included.
