Abstract
This is a systematic review and meta analysis; the source of information shall be from different accessible databases with journals from January 2009 to December 2019 that covers the mean RDW and its relationship to neonatal sepsis. A statistically significant outcome in the study was that, RDW increased in parallel with the severity of illness from sepsis to severe sepsis and septic shock. This signifies, that RDW is not only useful as in indicator of neonatal sepsis but also a predictor of mortality. This will be benefit to sick neonates as they would diagnosed easily and managed effectively.
