Abstract

A 16 year old, nulligravid, with a large mass bulging out on her introitus upon straining, was diagnosed initially to have cervical polyp versus cervical myoma. Transrectal ultrasound revealed an anechoic fluid-filled cystic structure measuring 3.1x2.8x1.3 cm and polycystic ovaries. Patient was admitted to undergo an elective procedure to remove the cystic mass under spinal anaethesis. Macroscopic and microspic examination results are consistent with cervical polyp.
