Abstract

This paper describes a series of 3 cases of atrial myxoma form 2007 to 2010 and their clinical and histologic findings and subsequent management. Two of the tumors were located in the left atrium and the other one in the right atrium. Two of the patients manifested with signs and symptoms of right ventricular failure. One of the patients manifested with aphasia and was diagnosed as cerebral infarction. Myxomas are a rare entity which may have varied presentations, therefore a high level of clinical suspicion is warranted for early diagnosis and effective treatment.
