Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the perceived influence of medical series on the interest of Grade 12 students of De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute (DLSMHSI) A.Y. 2024-2025 in choosing their pre-med course and its impact on the students’ career interests and expectations. The findings of this study provided valuable insights into the factors affecting students’ decisions in pursuing pre-med courses, enabling educators, career counselors, and parents to properly guide the students toward an informed career selection. In addition, it may also aid in gradually improving the quality of education by providing educational institutions with information they can use to assess the interests of the future pre-med students, which also has the potential to bring out ideas for teachers to develop a more innovative and creative academic teaching program.
