Abstract
Five samples from the Zapote River were collected in three barangays in Bacoor City. These were subjected to formol-ether concentration technique and microscopic exam. The results were negative: no fecal flagellated protozoa were identified. In conclusion, there is no significant presence of fecal flagellated protozoa in the Zapote River. It is recommended to utilize better preservation and detection methods and ensure timely scheduling of specimen collection and research procedure for more conclusive results.
