Abstract
This study utilized the experimental research design, specifically the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with four concentrations: (100%, 75% and 50%). It was administered by puncturing a hole to a 10-day old chick embryo and after the incubation period, the lenth of the blood vessels formed was measured and recorded using ImageJ and then, the ANOVS was used as the statistical treatment of the study. The 100% concentration of Moringa oleifera (Malunggay) leaves extract affected the collateral length in the CAM of the chick embryo the most since the average length for four (4) replications was 202.05 um. At significance level, most of the concentrations were statistically significant or has significant difference from each other. Moreover, there was a significant relationship between the concentration and the length of the collateral vessels formed. The higher concentration, the shorted the collateral length formed. Therefore, proving that the higher the concentration, the more effective the Malunggay extract is an angiogenic inhibitor.
