Abstract
This study aimed to determine the antiproliferative property of Equisetum hyemale L. against human lung adenocarcinoma A549 through MTT assay where the half maximal inhibitory concentration of IC50 value was found. Results show that the IC50 value of Equisetum hyemale L. is greater than 100ug/mL, thus, it did not meet the standard IC50 value. Hence, a greater concentration of the sample, Equisetum hyemale L., is needed to inhibit the proliferation of human lung adenocarcinoma A549 cells. In conclusion, the ethanolic Equisetum hyemale L. extract did not significantly inhibit the proliferation of human lung adenocarcinoma A549.
