Abstract
This study used a cross sectional research design using systematic random sampling. Medical records of 86 patients were taken from pediatric patients, 1-6 years old who were attended by a physician in De La Salle University Medical Center from June 2011-2012 were reviewed for birth weight and physician diagnosed absence or presence of asthma. Chi-square test was used to analyze the data. The study concluded that there was an association between low birth weight and asthma among pediatric patients in Dasmarinas, Cavite.
