Abstract
The study was conducted to determine the attitudes toward peer-assisted learning (PAL) among Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology (BSRT) students at De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute (DLSMHSI). The participants were first- to third-year students enrolled during the academic year 2025–2026. This study utilized a descriptive-quantitative research design. Using total enumeration sampling, 305 students participated in the study. Data were collected from May 19 to 28, 2025, using a modified open-access questionnaire assessing students’ attitudes toward PAL. The data were analyzed using frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Kruskal–Wallis test, and Mann–Whitney U test. The results indicated that the majority of respondents were male, aged 17–20 years, and first-year students. The findings revealed that students generally demonstrated a positive attitude toward PAL, particularly in enhancing understanding, reinforcing technical skills, and increasing academic motivation. Furthermore, demographic variables such as age, sex, and year level did not show a significant influence on students’ attitudes toward PAL. The study concluded that peer-assisted learning is an effective strategy in promoting collaborative learning, confidence, and engagement among BSRT students regardless of demographic differences. It is recommended that PAL be continuously integrated into the curriculum and that structured peer-learning activities be further developed to support academic performance and professional growth.
