Abstract

The study was conducted to examine the level of patient satisfaction in radiology services in selected hospitals in Cavite, focusing primarily on general radiography services. Moreover, the association between the demographic variables such as age, sex, and highest educational attainment was also analyzed. This study used a descriptive-quantitative research design and purposive sampling technique. The gathered data were subjected to statistical treatments such as frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Kruskal Wallis H test and Mann-Whitney U test. Findings of the study have shown that the majority of the respondents are female, young adults (18-39), and undergraduates. The findings also revealed that majority of the respondents are overall highly satisfied with the general radiography service provided to them. In terms of the comparison of the level of patient satisfaction in the general radiography service of selected hospitals in Cavite when respondents are grouped according to the demographic variables, the results revealed that the respondents’ level of satisfaction do not vary in terms of sex and highest educational attainment. However, there is a significant difference in the overall results when respondents are grouped by age, with middle-aged adults (40-59) having the highest level of patient satisfaction.
