Abstract
This study described the experiences of Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology (BSRT) interns in applying their theoretical learnings in their actual clinical training. The participants of this study were the BSRT interns who have enrolled in De La Salle Medical Health Sciences Institute Clinical Education program. This study was achieved using the Descriptive Qualitative Research Design and the participants were chosen through Purposive Sampling. The study described the experiences of BSRT interns. Overall, based on the participants’ significant statements, they have positive and negative experiences. Positive experiences include being able to appreciate the Radiographic Positioning by having opportunities to finally apply it to actual patients. On the other hand, the struggles, challenges, pressure, self-doubt, and not being confident contributed to having negative experiences. Nevertheless, despite the challenges and difficulties experienced by the participants, their ability to cope and adapt, eagerness to learn new things, acceptance of constructive criticism, and staying focused, helped them grow during their actual clinical training. These experiences have helped them to improve by acquiring new learnings and skills. These have honed them to become well-rounded individuals and competent, essential to being successful Radiologic Technologists in the future.
