Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the level of satisfaction of the second-, third-, and fourth-year radiologic technology students of De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute in an online learning environment during the implementation of Home-Based Alternative Learning Modalities during the A.Y. 2021-2022. The researchers employed a descriptive quantitative research design. Data were gathered using an adopted questionnaire and treated using percentage, mean, standard deviation, Mann Whitney U-test, and KruskalWallis H-test.

Findings of the study show that majority of the respondents are female and fourth year students. Findings also show that students feel satisfied with the teaching and cognitive presence in an online learning environment during the implementation of HBALMs and neither satisfied nor dissatisfied with the social presence. There are significant differences in the level of satisfaction of the respondents when they are grouped according to year level. Specifically, significant difference was observed in terms of cognitive presence between second-year and fourth-year students. In general, the satisfaction level of the respondents in an online learning environment significantly differs between second-year and third-year students.
