Abstract
This study used descriptive research design. Using purposive sampling, 50 couples from Blessed Ville, Bucal, Dasmarinas, Cavite were taken as respondents. A questionnaire was prepared by the researchers based on a questionnaire on Family Planning, which was taken from the barangay center. Mean, standard deviation and F-test were used to analyze data. Based on the careful analysis of the gathered data, the researchers arrived at the following conclusions: (1) The respondents were aware regarding family planning but only few of them are practicing it; (2) Majority of the respondents does not want to use permanent methods of contraceptives; (3) The age level or maturity of the couples, educational background and the socio-economic status were the factors that affect their level of awareness and practices; (4) There is a very small positive correlation (0.11 or 11%) between the awareness of the respondents and their practices regarding family planning. Thus, it could not be concluded that the more awareness on family planning a couple has, the greater the possibility of practicing it.
