The study employed a descriptive design using a survey technique. A self-made questionnaire distributed to 50 respondents chose from two (2) affiliation centers chosen through simple quota sampling. The data from the questionnaires tallied, tabulated, and analyzed. Data analyzed using percentage and standard deviation. Based on the results, the researchers concluded, (1) most of the respondents were male, aged 65 years old above, all have undergone treatment at De La Salle University - Doctor Isagani M. Darvin Rehabilitation Unit and Jose P. Rizal Memorial Foundation Rehabilitation Center from October 1991 to July 1992. (2) Patients attended from the onset of hemiplegia on an in-patient basis and followed-up on an outpatient basis for the consecutive three months of post-stroke. (3) The immobilization considered the foremost predisposing factor to shoulder pain in cerebrovascular accident patients, thus, patients prescribed passive range of motion exercises as a preventive measure. (4) This implied that care must practice in carrying out any shoulder exercise.
