Abstract
This study utilized a descriptive type of research design aimed to determine the level of knowledge of DLSU-A PT Interns regarding the precautionary measures in the use of IRR. The practice of these measures was also assessed through feedback from their corresponding patients. Data were obtained through a questionnaire given to 10 interns and patient respondents. The data from the questionnaire was tallied, tabulated, and analyzed. Data were gathered and interpreted using frequency percentage and mean. Result shows that 70% of the interns had adequate knowledge regarding the use of IRR. On the other hand, the precautionary measures that the respondents were not knowledgeable about informing the patient regarding frequency, duration and complications of the treatment, inquiring about the patients' use of the machine and to report any unpleasant sensation. Thus, the author came up with a conclusion that the DLSU-A PT Interns know and practice several but not everything they know about precautionary measures in the use of IRR. It is recommended that the faculty of DLSU-A thoroughly educate their students on the measures that the respondents were unaware of.
