Abstract
This study aimed to determine the correlation of Admission Criteria and the Third Year rank of Batch '99 of DLSU HSC for school year 1996-1997. Due to the number of failing students every school year, it is possible that the admission criteria maybe unaware of some parameters that could also view of the students fate in their academic performance. Making the screening process sound and more responsive, a better foundation can then be set by the college enabling students to graduate , pass Board Exam and have a good job. This is an analytic type of study which was conducted at DLSU HSC, College off Physical Therapy, Dasmariñas, Cavite. The subjects were the 82 students out of the top 100 2nd year pre-PT students in S.Y. '95-'96 based on the Admission's score who were accepted to 3rd Year. Results of the study showed that Admission score has low negative correlation as to their third year rank. The authors recommend that another study will be made analyzing which aspect of the Admission Criteria to be emphasized. Another recommendation would be to use wider range of population to evaluate not only a single batch of several batches.
