Abstract
The study aimed to present the various coping mechanisms in dealing with Academic Stress of 4th year PT students Batch 2002 at DLSU-HSC, the factors that caused/ contributed to academic stress; symptoms of academic stress, and the effectiveness of their chosen coping activities (e.g sleep, rest, exercise, etc.). The study was conducted at the 3rd floor of the Medicine Building Questionnaires were used to obtain the essential information needed and the results were analyzed and presented using series of pie charts, bar graphs and frequency distribution tables. IT was found there were many factors that contributed to academic stress (e.g. Academic load, No Time Management, Personal Problems and Teacher Factor Etc.) Students had encountered various symptoms signifying that had overcome them and explored different ways to combat their academic stress. The choices of activity were backed with many reasons, all of which aimed to relieve stress. through each person differs from one another, most of them have fallen into common preferred activities.
