Abstract
Low Back Pain is 2nd of the most common cause of missed workdays and is one of the leading impairment in occupational injuries, and among those reportedly affected are the individuals that are exposed in long duration of standing and sitting. In this case , the study was focused on the prevalence of Low Back Pain among faculty members of DLSU-D because they are subjected to such conditions in the workplace. A survey was done to determine its prevalence with the aid of self-administered survey from to obtain the needed information from the respondents. Stratified sampling was utilized to come out with a 300 sample size distribution out of the 556 total faculty. The study shows that the prevalence of Low Back Pain among faculty members of DLSU-D during SY 2002-2003 was 68%.
