Abstract

Scoliosis is the most defominf ortho[edic confronting children. It is a potentiallly conditions that affects children in ther active growth phase usually during early teenage years and essentially subsides upon completion of spinal growth, leaving a child with a permanent deformity. The screening tool was aimed to determine the respondents age, sex, height, weight, past medical, history of back pain, family medical history, menarche, history of shortness of breath , posture, ROM of truk , Hip , knee and ankle ,MMT and forward bending test. After study was implemented it turned that from the total of 204 females 75, or 65.78% were positive scoliosis. On the other hand, from the total of 220 male students, 39 were positive for scoiolisis. From the gathered data, the researchers have concluded that 25.58% from the grade 5 and 27.27% from the grade 6 students at Carmona Elementary School May have Scoliosis.
