Abstract
The research group is compared the effects between video Presentation and lecture in increasing the knowledge of 1st year physical therapy students on blood pressure assessment with the use of descriptive type of study. 49 1st Year physical therapy students of the DLS-H participated. They were allocated into lecture group and video presentation group. the data were gathered with the use of 20 item test and post which were validated and approved by the panel.Permission were soughyt to implement the study at De La Salle university Dasmariñas.lecture and video presentation were implemented simultaneously. the mean score of pre test lecture group was higher than video presentation group with difference of 0.85.knowledge gained of lecrture group is higher than video presentation group. there is an increase on knowledge in both groups. lecture has a mean change of 3.92 while video presentation group has a mean change of 4.46. mean scores between the two groups showed a small difference findings suggest that video presentation has a near equal efficiency as compared to lecture. therefore, video presentation could either be a supplement or alternative method in teaching first year physical therapy students about blood pressure assessment.
