The search results were then encoded in a spreadsheet and relevant information about the product was listed accordingly. The product specifications were determined and categorized according to its content, category and its ratings. The results of the study showed that a total of 2,277 slimming products were complied. Out of all the characterized slimming products, a total of 286 slimming products come from National Capital Region (NCR) or Metro Manila, Philippines. Most common controlled substances found in these products are sibutramine and synephrine. Additionally, these slimming products were found to be unregistered in their country of origin.
