In this study, the researcher used purposively sampling in which elderlies were “handpicked” from Luwalhati ng Maynila. Total population is 30 both male and female aging from 60 above. 15 aged persons served as the control group and another 15 as experimental group in which the reminiscence therapy was done. Respondents passed the following criteria to qualify them for the study. The following criteria were taken into consideration by the researchers; 1) able to communicate properly, 2) conscious and coherent, 3) willing to reminiscence, 4) able to understand English or Tagalog dialect. The primary instrument used for gathering data is a rating scale in order to measure the level of emotional wellness and sociability of an elderly. This activity used a face-to-face interaction wherein observation of the verbal and non-verbal cues, behaviors and attitudes of the respondents helped in providing added facts. The following statistical test were used to answer specific problems and to test in this study were mean and t-test. The overall mean for emotional wellness of the elderly with Reminiscence Therapy was 2.47 and interpreted as Very Sociable. The overall mean for emotional wellness of the elderly without Reminiscence Therapy was 1.35 and interpreted as Not Observed. The overall mean for sociability of the elderly without Reminiscence Therapy was 1.3 and interpreted as Not Sociable. The computed t-ratio revealed that the emotional wellness gained 10.88 and sociability of 6.3 using t = 1.34 at 10 percent level of significance and interpreted as significant. Based on the findings, the researchers therefore concluded that there is a significant difference observed between the level of emotional wellness and sociability with and without reminiscence.
