To determine the profile of the terminally and chronically-ill patients in terms of age, sex, civil status, educational attainment and occupation. To determine the perception of the terminally and chronically-ill christian patients towards their illness and life situation before a pre-structured spiritual counselling. 3. To determine the perception of the respondents towards their illness and life situation after a pre-structured spiritual counselling. 4. To determine if there are differences in perception when the respondents are grouped according to age, sex, civil status, educational attainment and occupation. 5. To determine if there is a significant difference in the perception of the terminally and chronically-ill patients towards their illness and life situation before and after a pre-structured spiritual counselling.  the following were the findings. 1. Among the 25 respondents, 36% belong to the 43-57 age bracket, 52 % are males, 56% are married, 54% finished high school and 40% are presently employed. 2. Before a pre-structured spiritual counselling, 78% of the respondents were worried about their condition; 57.14% fantasized solutions to their problem; 42.9% complained frequently and worried about their dying. 71.43% manifested sighing and frowing; 50% showed long periods of silence; and 64.3% showed negativistic and withdrawn behavior. 3. After the spiritual counselling, the respondents manifested a significant decrease from the previous findings. Most of the respondents felt less anxious, hopeless, useless, withdrawn and negativistic. 4. In terms of age, sex, civil status, educational attainment and occupation, the respondents had differences in perception towards their illness and life situation, but there were still some common behaviors and feelings. 5. There is a difference in the perception of the terminally and chronically-ill patients towards their illness and life situation before and after a pre-structured spiritual counselling. It was concluded that there are differences in the perception of the terminally and chronically-ill Christian patients when grouped according to age, sex, educational attainment and occupation, except civil status. It was also therefore concluded that spiritual counselling greatly affects the perception of the terminally and chronically-ill patients towards their illness and life situation.
