Abstract
This study aims to determine the profile of the respondents in terms of: (a) age, and (b) educational attainment. 2. To determine the common fears encountered by clients preoperatively when they are grouped according to: (a) age, and (b) educational attainment. 3. To know if there is a significant relationship on fears encountered by clients undergoing major operation when they are grouped according to: (a) age, and (b) educational attainment. A total of 45 female clients undergoing major operation in selected hospitals in Cavite specifically caesarean section, appendectomy and cholecystectomy, within the age group of 15 to 35 years old, had been on high school or college level, having no background on any field of medical education, and on their first time to undergo operation. There was a significant relationship on the fears encountered by clients undergoing major operation in selected hospitals in Cavite when they are grouped according to age and educational attainment.
