Abstract
This study sought to find out the: 1. Level of socialization of the elderlies when they are exposed and not exposed to music therapy. 2. Significant difference on the level of socialization of the elderly when they are exposed and not exposed to music therapy The respondents were composed of fifteen elderlies, with ages between 60 to 80 years old and residing in Lualhati ng Maynila Parang, Marikina, both male and female with the same physical and mental capacities and can listen to music well through the use of the Ballpen Click Test. The elderly, when they were not exposed to music had a moderate level of socialization while the elderly exposed to music had a high level of socialization. 2. The group of elderly who were exposed to music had a higher level of socialization activity than those who were not exposed. Music therapy therefore is effective in increasing the level of socialization of the elderly.
