Abstract

The researchers used the non-equivalent control group which is under the quasi-experimental design. The subjects of the stud were children in the age bracket of 1-3 years old. The total sample is 30 children confined in both hospitals who received intramuscular injection for the first time. The researchers adopted the observation guide developed by Whale and Wong (1991). The statistical treatment utilized in the study were mean and f-test. 1) That prior to the stimulation of the record crying sound, the anxiety level of the children receiving intramuscular injection was increased; 2) That after the stimulation of the record crying sound, the anxiety level of children receiving the intramuscular injection was decreased; 3) There is a significant difference between the anxiety level of children before and after stimulation of a record crying sound.
