Abstract

This study was done to determine the level of knowledge and attitude of DLS-HSC nursing students Batch 2008 in preventing medication errors. Specifically, this study sought to answer the following questions. B.Specific a.To determine the profile of the respondents when they are grouped according to gender, academic performance, student-patient ratio, C.I.-student ratio, length of hospital exposure; b.To know the level of knowledge and attitude of Batch 2008 nursing students of De La Salle-Health Sciences Campus in preventing medication errors; c.To find out if there is a significant difference in the knowledge and attitude when the respondents are grouped according to gender, academic performance, student-patient ratio, C.I.-student ratio, length of hospital exposure; and d.To determine if significant relationship exists between the knowledge and attitude of Batch 2008 nursing students of DLS-HSC in preventing medication errors. This study focused on level of knowledge and attitude in preventing medication errors of Batch 2008 nursing students of De La Salle- Health Sciences Campus. The respondents are composed of 164 nursing students of DLS-HSC Batch 2008. This study also considered the following demographic data, such gender, academic performance, student-patient ratio, C.I.-student ratio and length of clinical exposure.
