Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of awareness and level of compliance of selected mothers in Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Cavite regarding Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) for children. B.Specific a.To determine the profile of the respondents in terms of age, monthly income of the family, source of medical care and educational attainment; b.To determine the level of awareness of selected mothers in Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite regarding Expanded Program on Immunization for children; c.To determine the level of compliance of selected mothers in Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite regarding Expanded Program on Immunization for children; d.To determine if there is a significant difference in the level of awareness of selected mothers in Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite regarding Expanded Program on Immunization for children when they are grouped according to age, monthly income of the family, source of medical care and educational attainment; e.To determine if there is a significant difference in the level of compliance of selected mothers in Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite regarding Expanded Program on Immunization for children when they are grouped according to age, monthly income of the family, source of medical care and educational attainment; f.To determine if there is a correlation between the level of awareness and level of compliance of selected mothers in Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite regarding Expanded Program on Immunization for children. The study focused on the determination of the level of awareness and level of compliance of selected mothers in Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite regarding Expanded Program on Immunization for children. The relationship of the demographic factors such as age, monthly income of the family, source of medical care, and educational attainment to the level of awareness and compliance were also studied. The respondents of the study were limited to mothers aging from 15-45years. Criteria for the selection of the respondents included: (a) coherent upon data collection, (b) know how to read, write and understand Tagalog, (c) mentally capable to answer the questions and (d) agree to participate in the study.
