Abstract
This study aims to determine the factors associated with the use of alcohol beverage of Bachelor of Science in Nursing Batch 2008 and its effect to their academic performance. B. Specific 1.To determine the profile of the respondents in terms of gender, type of residency and weekly allowance. 2. To know the factors associated of the use of alcohol beverage of the respondents. 3.To know the effects of the use of alcohol beverage to their academic performance of the respondents. 4.To determine the significant difference in the factors associated of the use of alcohol beverage when grouped according to gender, type of residency and weekly allowance. 5.To determine the significant difference in the effects of the use of alcohol beverage to their perceived academic performance when they are grouped according to gender, type of residency and weekly allowance. 6. To determine the significant relationship in the effects of the use of alcohol beverage to their actual academic performance. The study was conducted at the De La Salle Health Sciences Campus in Dasmariñas, Cavite in cooperation with eighty third year Nursing Students' Batch 2008 of the College of Nursing and Midwifery. The variables under consideration in this study were the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of gender, type of residency, and weekly allowance, the different factors associated of the use of alcohol beverage of the respondents, effects of the use of alcohol beverage, and the academic performance of the third year nursing students batch 2008 of the College of Nursing and Midwifery.
