Abstract
The study tried to determine the level of psychosocial development of abandoned children and if this psychosocial development differs according to age, gender and length of stay in the orphanage. Specifically the following questions were answered in this study: 1. What is the profile of abandoned children in terms of age, gender, and length of stay in the orphanage? 2.What is the level of psychosocial development of abandoned children in selected orphanages? 3.Are there differences in the level of psychosocial development of abandoned children when they are grouped according to age, gender, and length of stay in the orphanage? This study was conducted in the orphanage of Little Angels Home and Tahanan Vendura in Tagaytay City and Save Our Souls Children's Village in Alabang. The respondents of the study were the 80 children in the selected orphanages. The variables under consideration were the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of age, gender, and length of stay and the level of psychosocial development of the respondents.
