Abstract

This study used non-experimental descriptive research design. The respondents of this study were 100 mothers who have preschool children and permanent residents of Brgy. Pasong Buaya II, Imus, Cavite. Based on judgmental sampling technique, the respondents were chosen because they have met the criteria that the researchers set for their study. Data was analyzed through frequency distribution, percentage, mean, F-test and t-test. The study concluded that, 1) The majority of the selected mothers with preschool children from Pasong Buaya II, Imus, Cavite were 20 to 29 years old, Catholic, obtained high school level of education, unemployed, with monthly family income of P3,000 and below, and have two children; 2) The selected mothers were highly knowledgeable with regard to food preparation of mothers with preschool children when grouped according to age, religion, educational attainment, monthly income of the family, and the number of children. However, there was a significant difference in their level of knowledge when grouped according to occupation.
