Abstract

A quantitative descriptive research design was utilized using purposive sampling. An adapted and modified questionnaire served as main tool for the purpose of this inquiry, which was answered using a five-point scale. Statistical treatment were frequency distribution, mean, percentage, ANOVA via f-test and t-test. The study concluded that, 1) Out of fifty (50) respondents, most of them belong to the 13-16 age group, are in high school, belongs to an extended family, male, with a monthly family income of Php10,000 and below and Catholic; 2) The obtained mean for the level of well-being of adolescents with a chronically ill parent is 4.09, which meant that they have a high level of well-being; 3) There is no significant difference in the level of well-being of children with a chronically ill parent when they are grouped according to age, educational attainment, family structure, monthly family income and religion, while there is a significant difference when they are grouped according to gender. The well-being of adolescents with a chronically ill parent is the same regardless of age, educational attainment, family structure, income and religion. However, their well-being varies, when gender was considered.
