Abstract

This study utilized the non-experimental descriptive design of research. Simple random sampling was used to select the 159 enrolled BSN Batch 2012 students of De La Salle Health Sciences Institute, Dasmarinas, Cavite. The study utilized a self-made questionnaire. Data was analyzed through frequency distribution, standard deviation, mean, percentage and t-test. The study concluded that most of the respondents are female, reside at home, has had their duties first before lecture, do not participate in any extracurricular involvement, and utilize sleep-study routine. The research surmises that the mean GPA of the respondents is 86.69% which is interpreted as good, based on De La Salle Health Sciences Institutes’ conferred interpretation. Gender, residence, academic schedule, extracurricular involvement and study routine do not affect the academic performance of the respondents.
