Abstract

A descriptive-analytical research design was used in the study. Respondents were 42 breast cancer patients who underwent chemotherapy in De La Salle University Medical Center, Emilio Aguinaldo General Hospital and St. Dominic Medical Center chosen using purposive sampling technique. A self-made questionnaire was utilized to gather data. The statistical measures used were percentage, mean, f-test or One-Way Analysis Variance (ANOVA) and t-test. The following conclusion were drawn: 1) Most of the respondents were 46 years old and above, reached college and had a monthly family income of P20,001 and above; 2) Most of the respondents had moderate compliance to their chemotherapeutic regimen; 3) Age was not a predictor of compliance. Educational attainment and monthly family income were predictors of compliance to the chemotherapeutic regimen.
