Abstract
This study was primarily undertaken to determine the mental wellbeing of COVID-19 survivors in selected barangays of Dasmariñas City, Cavite. The study utilized an Analytical Research Design to determine the mental well-being of COVID-19 survivors in selected barangays of Dasmariñas City, Cavite and to determine if there is a significant difference on the mental well-being of COVID-19 survivors in selected barangays of Dasmariñas City, Cavite when they are grouped according to age, sex, the severity of symptoms, length of recovery period and presence of comorbidities. The number of respondents in this study consisted of a total of 326 COVID-19 survivors. Furthermore, an adopted tool from WarwickEdinburgh Mental Well-being Scale was utilized to measure the mental well- 4 being of the COVID-19 survivors. Statistical treatments such as frequency of distribution, sum of scores, t-test, and analysis of variance test were employed to obtain the necessary data needed to answer the problems of the study and test the hypothesis. Findings revealed that the majority of the respondents were 18-40 years old, female, had experienced mild COVID-19 symptoms, and had less than 1 month of length of recovery period. Furthermore, more than half of the respondents do not have any comorbidities. Findings showed that the majority of COVID-19 survivors in selected barangays of Dasmariñas City were shown to have a moderate level of mental well-being. Findings revealed that there are significant differences on the level of mental well-being of the respondents when they are grouped according to age, length of recovery period, and presence of comorbidities. However, there are no significant differences on the level of mental well-being of the respondents when they are grouped according to sex and severity of symptoms.
