Abstract
This descriptive-correlational study examined nurse staffing and care delivery. A controlled quota sampling procedure recruited 100 nurses aged 21 and older, of any gender, with at least 6 months of nursing experience. The tool validated 36 source-adapted and modified questionnaires. Informed consent was obtained, and data was protected. Analysis included frequency distribution, weighted means, correlation analysis, and significance tests. The middle-aged nurses are filling the workforce gap and prioritizing family needs. Female nurses dominate the field, but the growth of male and LGBTQ+ nurses is recognized. Nurses with over 5 years of experience are considered experts in addressing patient needs. Overall, there may be other factors in nurse staffing that need to be considered. Nurses consistently provide effective and efficient patient care while staying committed to their professional oath. Thus, the nursing profession emphasizes the adaptability and competency of nurses, regardless of their profile.
