Abstract
The study utilized a quantitative descriptive-analytical research design and purposive and convenience sampling methods to determine the health beliefs towards illness management of adults with Type 2 DM. The data were collected through self-made questionnaires. Data was analyzed through mean, frequency distribution, standard deviation, independent t-test, One-way ANOVA Test and Tukey's Post hoc Analysis. The study concluded that, 1. Most respondents were middle-aged adults, female, in poor income class, many were college graduates, most belonged to the ethnolinguistic group Tagalog, and the majority were Roman Catholic. 2. Health beliefs towards illness management of the respondents were positive beliefs. 3. There was no significant difference when health beliefs were grouped by sex, educational attainment, income class, religion, and ethnolinguistic group. There was only a significant difference when health beliefs toward illness management were grouped according to age.
