Abstract
The study utilized a Descriptive-Analytical Design and modified the Inventory of Male Friendliness in Nursing Programs (IMFNP) to achieve the forenamed objectives. Purposive sampling was used to select respondents. The researchers modified and adapted the research instrument created by Dr. Chad Elis O'Lynn (2007) called the 'Inventory of Male Friendliness in Nursing Programs (IMFNP). Data was analyzed through frequency distribution, weighted mean and Kruskal-Wallis H test. Most respondents belonged to the second and third years, with 49 participants per level, whose religion is Roman Catholic. A majority perceived that the gender barriers in the cognitive and behavioral were “moderate,” while for the affective and unconscious domain, the gender barrier was “high.” Furthermore, in all domains, the first years' perceptions are significantly different from the other years. While for religion, Roman Catholics and Christians shared the same views. However, INC and other religions had differing perceptions in affective and unconscious domains.
