Abstract
This study employed a quantitative, non-experimental descriptive research. The researchers utilized a questionnaire. Stratified random sampling was used. Two hundred thirty nine (239) were the respondents of the study. The study utilized frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Kruskal Wallis H Test. The study concluded that, 1) Majority of the respondents are between the ages of 20-21 years old., from the first year level, using 4-5 social media platforms, and spending 4-6 hours on viewing, liking and commenting on post on social media in a day on average; 2) Social media exposure has a high positive perceived effect on the overall body image of the female BSN students of DLSMHSI; 3) The perceived effects of social media exposure to the body image of selected female adolescents of the respondents are the same regardless of their age, year level, number of social media platforms used, and duration of use.
