Abstract
The study used a quantitative descriptive analytical research design. It was conducted among all year levels of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in DLSMHSI using the Cochran Formula and convenience sampling. The instrument used in this study was adapted and modified from Chopra at al. (2020) survey questionnaire in their study entitled "Impact of COVID-19 on lifestyle-related behaviors-a cross-sectional audit of responses from 995 participants for India. The data is analyzed using statistical treatments including t-test, mean, weighted mean, frequency, frequency distribution, percentage, standard deviation and ANOVA. The study concluded that, 1) Majority of those who have responded are: (1) from ages 20-21; (2) female; (3) 1st year students; and (4) have a frequency of social media use for more than 8 hours; 2) DLSMHSI nursing students perceive social media use as having fair effects on their lifestyle habits; 3) There is no significant difference in how the respondents perceive social media use to affect their lifestyle habits when they are grouped in terms of sex, year level, and frequency of social media use. When grouped in terms of age, there is a significant difference in how the respondents perceive social media to affect their lifestyle habits.
