Abstract

This study is a quantitative research that utilizes a correlational research design. Using purposive and quota sampling, a total of 337 BS Nursing students were chosen as respondents of this study. Data gathering tool was Mental Fatigue Scale (MFS) and a self-made tool questionnaire for the perceived productivity level. The actual data gathering was conducted using Google forms. Data was analyzed through frequency and percentage distribution, Kruskal Wallis H Test, Mean, Mann Whitney U Test, Spearman Rank-Order Correlation, and standard deviation. The study concluded that, 1) Most of the respondents are females who belong to level III of the academic year 2021-2022 and the 18-20 years old age group; 2) The extent of the mental fatigue of BS Nursing students of De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute is interpreted as slight mental fatigue; 3) The overall perceived productivity of BS Nursing students of De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute is interpreted as average; 4) There is a significant difference in mental fatigue of the BS Nursing students when grouped according to sex where males have higher mental fatigue compared to females. As for age and year level, there is no significant difference in the mental fatigue of the BS Nursing students; 5) There is no significant difference in the perceived productivity level of BS Nursing students when grouped according to age, sex, and year level; 6) There is a significant relationship between mental fatigue and the perceived productivity level of BS Nursing students.
