Abstract

This study used descriptive phenomenological qualitative research design using purposive sampling. Data was gathered through online interview through the use of video and audio recorder via Google Meet or Zoom. Colaizzi's thematic analysis for data analysis. Findings of the study showed that participants were initially overwhelmed with anxiety and worry attributable to the uncertainty of pregnancy and the pandemic, as well as concerns about the COVID-19's possible impact on their child's growth and development. To ease their anxiety, they have taken protective measures and have adhered to the healthcare facilities' modified COVID-19 health protocol. Participants encountered various struggles, including financial problems, lack of support. difficulty in coping with isolation, pandemic restrictions that forced them to stay at home, and going through modified checkup and delivery health protocols. On the bright side, due to the pandemic that forced them to stay at home, they were able to better care for their pregnancy, reduce the risk of being exposed, bond more with their baby and family, receive social support, strengthen their faith, and prioritize their health.
