Abstract
Phenomenological approach method was used in this study. The experiences of the participants were examined through their own description of their lived experiences. The sampling method that the researchers used in this study is snowball or chain sampling. The participants were biological mothers of hearing impaired children from Las Pinas City, Silang and Dasmarinas, Cavite. The participants were chosen regardless of age, educational background, occupation, number of children with or without hearing impairment, time spent with the child and formal education about sign language. Data was analyzed using Colaizzi's Seven Stage Process of Analysis. The study concluded that raising hearing impaired children has brought a multitude of experiences towards the participants in the study. Though there are common features amongst the experiences of these mothers, their experiences still vary on some situations.
