Abstract
This study used the phenomenological approach of qualitative research. Nine (9) participants who lost their first-born child were involved in the study and purposive sampling was utilized. Using the aid of an audio-recorder, the researchers conducted interviews with the participants to gather qualitative data. The findings of the study led to the conclusion that fathers who lost their first-born child were able to realize the importance of life and that there is life after death. Participants' view toward death should not be dealt for their entire lives although there were instances that they remember what had happened related to the event surrounding their loss.
